Step 1: Large Buddha bead
Cut a small piece of wax cord (about 9cm). String the 12mm ring to the wax cord and string both ends of the cord through the large Buddha bead.
Fix the large cord crimp to the wax cord. Cut the redundant wax cord above the Buddha bead, but make sure there is enough wax cord left for the cord crimp.
Fix the cord crimp to the ends of the cords by placing the 2 cords together in the crimp. Bend one side of the cord crimp over the cords using flat nose pliers and squeeze it to fasten. Now bend the other side of the cord crimp and squeeze it to fasten (this side must be placed over the already fastened side of the cord crimp). Make sure the cords are securely fastened and cannot get out.
Step 2: Key fob
Fix the heart-shaped key fob to the eye of the cord crimp using a 5mm ring.
Pushing the two sides of a jump ring apart using two flat nose/round nose pliers opens the jump ring. Bending the two halves together using two flat nose/round nose pliers closes the ring.
If the jump ring does not close entirely, it can be squeezed gently with the flat nose pliers.
Step 3: Wax cord
Cut 4 pieces of wax cord of about 18cm. String the 4 pieces of cord to the 12mm ring which is placed under the Buddha bead and fold the cords. Now 8 cords hang from the 12mm ring.
Cut a small piece of wax cord. Use the piece of wax cord to keep the 4 pieces of wax cord on their places. Wrap the small piece of cord right beneath the 12mm ring tightly around the folded wax cord and fasten it with a knot. The small piece of wax cord is now wrapped around 8 strings.

Step 4: Stringing beads
String the synthetic cylinder bead to all 8 cords and place it over the small piece of wax cord that is wrapped around the other cords.
The synthetic bead fits almost exactly over the wax cord and is quite securely in place.
String according to your own preferences or according to the photo the wooden round beads and the wooden oval beads to the 8 cords. Do not forget to make a knot once in a while to keep the beads in their correct place and to create a playful effect.
Step 5: Charms
Cut, if neccessary, the 8 wax cords on the desired length. You can either choose to vary the lengths of the cords or keep them all on the same length (as shown on the photo). Make sure there is at least enough cord left to fix the cord crimps to.
Fix a small cord crimp to the end of each cord (see step 1).
Fix the charms to the eyes of the small cord crimps using the 5mm rings.
