Do you feel your beads are too plain? You can decorate large beads with small seed beads. You will need a needle, wire (transparent nylon wire or basic threading wire), small seed beads and a large bead with a smooth surface and a large hole (it should be possible to thread a needle with wire multiple times through the hole).
Step 1:
Take a piece of wire of considerable length and fix to one end of the wire a threading needle. String a large bead on the wire and place it about 5cm from the end of the wire (you will need the tip of the wire in steps 4 and 6).
Step 2:
String several seed beads on the wire (the seed beads must be able to vertically cover the side of the bead). Make sure the seed beads do not get hidden in the hole of the large bead.
Step 3:
Now string the wire again through the large bead. The seed beads are now ‘stuck’ in a loop.
Step 4:
Pull the wire firmly in order to place the seed beads tightly against the side of the large bead. Thread the 5cm piece of wire (see step 1) in between the seed beads and the large bead and pull it firmly in order to fasten the wire.
Step 5:
String several seed beads on the wire (the seed beads must be able to vertically cover the side of the bead) and thread the wire through the large bead. The seed beads must be placed tightly against the side of the large bead. Make sure the seed beads do not get hidden in the hole of the large bead. Repeat this step until the entire bead is covered with seed beads.
Step 6:
Make a knot using both ends of the wire and cut, if necessary, the redundant wire.
Tip! Step 7:
You could put some glue on the knot to strengthen the knot. Let the glue on the knot dry thoroughly (24 hours) before using the bead in your jewelry or fashion accessory.
